Import / Export

To make the use of Puma5 more flexible, particular attention has been given to the exchange of data among different working groups.

External companies

To facilitate the transfer of data to/from external companies in the case of subcontracted work, special functions have been implemented to import/export data to and from the Piping Classes, the Take-Off and the Line List.
This is obtained by installing Puma5 in the computers of the external companies; afterwards the piping classes are transferred there for the accounting activities. Once finished, the Material Take-Offs can be collected in the main computer to obtain the project MTO.

Drie

This tool handles the operations of importing/exporting data from other applications. Its main characteristic is the possibility of configuration directly by the end-user, including the definition of the record layout of files to be imported or exported.
The main purpose of this module is to allow an easy transfer of data from/to Puma5 without creating specific interfaces, saving time and maintenance operations.
